A commissioned piece, whether it is a portrait, still life, landscape, or abstract is a creative collaboration between the client and me. We work as partners to create the piece that you desire.

The Artistic Process:

• We discuss your vision for the piece: the theme, composition, lighting, size, and point of display.
• You receive a detailed contract outlining the working process, the time line, and the fees for the project.
• At contract signing, one-third of the total fees are due. Your project is added to the schedule, and I begin the charcoal and color studies, and plan the associated creative elements.
• Your piece is designed, and a full-sized charcoal sketch of the painting and a smaller color study are created for your approval.
• Upon your approval of the sketches, one-third of the total fees are due.
• Painting begins.
• Your painting is delivered and the final fees are due.
